Woke up 6.30am (usual time), central heating was blasting into life.
Feeling spring like, went downstairs to switch it off and pulled the blinds open, only to see thick snow everywhere!
Two robins had decided to make their nest in our garden over everyone else's in the country, which I was excited about, especially as we'd been putting nesting boxes out for 10 years, they chose the fence covered by laurel leaves instead.
That's ok except for the house the other side of the fence. They're probably wondering why the woman opposite them sits staring down a pair of binoculars.
Thought to myself, Spring's here, only country in the world that gets 4 seasons in the same week!
Back on with the heating, cup of tea and started to think about posting todays blog.
Was going to do a light summery meal. Not now.
My friend has a birthday next week so I decided to make her chocolate brownies. Baz says she'll only complain about the calories but I know the look on her face when she opens the box! (the calories will definately be secondary).
If I have got the time, I actually prefer to make a nice food present rather than buy a gift, probably because it's my own creation and I'm hopeless at choosing presents.
I'll let you know how it goes and I'll post the recipe this month.
