Hi there, having spent the week on robin alert (robins nesting in our garden), I decided to wander down and take a closer look.
Only to find a baby bird lying on the lawn. Couldn’t tell if it was a robin but it was definitely deceased! I’m not so sure about putting the webcam up now but I will keep watching for any developments.
On a happier note I wanted to post this delicious starter we had last night.
We found an excellent recipe and thought it was good enough to share. It has all my favourite foods on one plate.

I took a large avocado cut it in half and removed the stone. Then scooped out the flesh into a bowl and mashed in some crabmeat and low fat cream cheese. Added a splash of Tabasco sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper and a little tomato puree. I mixed it altogether and spooned it back into the skins. Then topped it with a slice of Prosciutto ham. Finally I put the stuffed avocado skins into a hot oven for about 10 minutes. Delicious! It shows two on one plate in the photo because Baz pigged out! You really only need one per person. I’m off to the south of France this week, to get some ideas on basic French food. I’ll let you know the outcome.
