When a friend rang me for help with a dinner party I was a bit surprised.
He’s usually on the mark with food, but he was stumped for a light starter.
Four of them were going bowling on Saturday night and he didn’t want to be too long in the kitchen when they got back.
He’d got one person that wasn’t keen on soup; another one wanted something with Avocado. (Shouldn’t have asked them for their likes and dislikes).
He’d sorted the main course and pudding.
So I gave him my sister’s recipe for Avocado Starter.
This always goes down well, I have done it for 15 people in one hit and not a scrap left.
Then they all go home and make it for their friends and so good food lives on.
You can prepare the entire recipe 2-4 hours prior and just make the sauce at the last minute.
The combination of Avocado-bacon-sweet chilli and sour cream are divine!
