Apple Puff Dessert

Cooking Time 20 mins



  • Roll out the pastry to 16cm(6¼") x 23cm(9¼")
  • Place on a greased baking tin
  • Peel and core the apples
  • Cut the apples in half and slice thinly
  • Arrange on the pastry-slightly overlapping
  • Sprinkle over the caster sugar
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven 375°F/190°C/gas mark 5 for about 20 mins, until golden brown
  • Dust with icing sugar
  • Serve with ice cream

Cooks tip

  • Instead of a rolling pin I use a cold bottle of wine from the fridge-it keeps the pastry cool and works a treat.
  • If you can’t get Golden Delicious apples just use a good eating apple

  • 200g/7oz puff pastry
  • 2 Eating apples
  • 50g/1 ½ oz Golden caster sugar
  • 1-2 Scoops soft vanilla ice cream
  • 20g/ ½ oz Icing sugar
